Blog Marketing and Social Bookmarking Warnings

Its much harder today to get your blog indexed and ranked in the search engines. At one time blog marketing was easy. If you created a post and submitted it to the social news or bookmarking sites it would get found and you would start getting some traffic. Today is just a different story.

So what can be done to be put on the fast track, get your blog found and start getting some real traffic? Well, there are the safe white hat solutions and then there are the black hat methods. I typically stay in the white to gray areas, but the ultimate decision is up to you and your own moral code and ethics. Lets get to the meat of the matter and list some sure fire solutions.

First off you want to save as much time as you can. We can do this by multiplying our efforts. There is nothing like working once and getting multiple positive results. So lets start with a post. When you write a post try to make it between 400 and 700 words. I know this is not always possible but for best results try your best to fit into these ranges.

This post now will serve multiple purposes:

  1. Put it on your blog
  2. Submit your article (post) to article directories
  3. Work your post into a video or Power Point video
  4. Put your post into a Web 2.0 site or community
  5. Turn the post into a pod cast
  6. Re- work your post into a press release
  7. Then mark everyone of these actions with social bookmarking

Now most of these things are no secret, even know I have seen people pay for this information. The real trick is in the details of each one of these processes. You have to tweak little things in each one of these applications to drive any sort of real traffic to your blog.

Here are some of the little things that you need to pay attention to:

  1. Use keywords or keyword phrases that you are looking to rank for in your titles
  2. When linking back to your blog use your keyword or phrase in the anchor text not just the URL of your blog
  3. Identify and use like or similar words that relate to your keywords in your text (LSI)
  4. Brand your videos with your URL or page link that you would like people to visit
  5. Tag your post or article whenever possible with your keyword or phrase
  6. Do not try to sell something in the post that you distribute. Give something of value
  7. Get familiar with RSS and how to use this to improve your traffic
  8. Be sure to get backlinks naturally over time and not all at once
  9. Avoid posting and bookmarking at the same time every day or on the same day consistently

These tweaks are just the tip of the iceberg and yes there are some little secrets that can help increase your visibility and traffic along the way. For now, if your are missing any of these steps, start putting them into action now. Every one of these tips could dramatically increase your traffic in a very short period of time if done correctly.

The blogging phenomenon continues to grow after it was initially introduced more than ten years ago. This online craze now includes the popular photography site Photobucket with their ever growing Photobucket Blog. The concept is a simple one - you can create a blog that is embedded with your favorite pictures. In addition, this site may contain pictures from your family vacation, a social gathering, formal functions, and can even include your marketing ventures.

While some may be quick to dismiss the possibility of using such a site for an online business presence, it can, in fact, bring a whole new set of specifically targeted customers to your web site. There is no need to resemble a "blogger tech geek" when using this personalized service and it's target rich features. Combined with your seasoned marketing skills, it affords the internet business owner to take a much more relaxed focus to acquiring a new set of customers.

Countless thousands use the site's photography services each day and their online community continues to grow and expand. Too, you can take the opportunity to post responses at various member blogs and provide backlinks to your web site. While other web site owners are concentrating on the well-known sites (and these services should be used too, of course), you can be one of the few who should summon this marketing power in order to propel your business to new heights.

Now you can see how this popular photography site can reach an entirely new audience and clientle. Another advantage of using this service for your online business comes from knowing that you can attract a targeted audience of potential customers. For example, if your web site is dedicated to digital cameras, then your likelihood to attract members of Photobucket is certainly increased as compared to using a more traditional service like WordPress.

Having a unique internet presence with little to no competition benefits your web site and it is a sound business principle, but having an atypical blog design solution can only increase your ability to attract a growing customer base. By employing this method to your marketing schemes, your online business will continue to expand and prosper as you seek to gain new growth each day.
